Will fake leather or PVC cause stains on TPE skin??
- Watch out for faux leather or "pleather". One of my dolls had a black leather cape, and when I unpacked her, her back was completely stained black! It took several weeks for the stain to fade away.
- I also had a similar experience with a 1/6 scale Elvis Presley figure wearing a black leather jacket; when I rolled up his sleeves, I noticed the jacket had lightly stained his arms.
- Personally, I'm very cautious and wouldn't leave such items on my doll for extended periods.
- I'm using an uncolored canvas lining for a PVC bustier, which I hope will provide sufficient protection.
- PVC or latex will deteriorate quickly when exposed to TPE oil unless a substantial barrier is used. During a photoshoot, I dressed my doll in PVC hose with white hose underneath as a liner, and although they were only on for the shoot, there was no damage that way. However, in experiments without a barrier, the PVC started to wrinkle within minutes.
Is it safe to leave excess mineral oil in the cavities? Will TPE absorb it, or could it lead to mold formation?
- While it may not directly cause mold growth, it's not ideal for TPE to become overly saturated with oil.
- Clean the orifices thoroughly and ensure they are completely dry afterwards. Bacteria, microorganisms, and mold can break down hydrocarbons like baby oil, vaseline, and mineral oil as nutrients. Mold can grow on silicone and TPE using hydrocarbons as a food source.
Our bodies shed thousands of skin cells daily, including during sexual activity. These skin cells can serve as nutrients for bacteria and germs. Over time, these organic materials decay, producing an unpleasant odor.
Leaving mineral oil in the orifices without proper cleaning can create a mixture of mineral oil, bacteria, microorganisms, germs, fungus, and decaying skin cells—a "bio mush" within the hydrocarbon-based orifice. If not cleaned properly, this mixture could transfer to your penis during sexual activity with the TPE doll.
Can you apply a white powder to the tan dolls? Is there a specific powder you use for the tan dolls?
- I use regular Argo cornstarch on my WM doll, which is a shade or two darker than the regular tan. The doll should be completely dry before application, and a light dusting with a large makeup brush is sufficient. Sometimes I notice visible powder streaks, but a lightly damp cloth quickly fixes that.
- Both of mine are tan, and I also use Argo. When there's a noticeable spot, I've found that massaging it helps to remove it.
- I've heard of someone adding cocoa powder to their baby powder for their darker-skinned dolls.
- As long as it's not sweetened, cocoa powder should be fine.

How can I remove lint and hair from the face of my TPE sex doll?
- The most effective method I've found is using high-quality cotton makeup swabs and baby oil. It's important to note that this will also remove any makeup, but it leaves the face clean. After about an hour, I lightly apply powder using a brush to eliminate any residual stickiness.
- I usually clean the face with a damp cloth and spot-clean using baby oil, either with a Q-tip or a paper towel wrapped around my finger. For applying powder or cornstarch, I lightly dust the face with whatever remains on the makeup brush after applying it to the body.
What materials should be avoided in TPE doll clothes?
- Staining can be an issue with dark colors, primarily due to the amount of dye used rather than the fabric type itself. Tight clothing can leave indentations if left on for too long, and rough, textured fabrics can cause abrasions. I'm aware that TPE oils can degrade latex, but I'm uncertain about polyurethane.
- I recommend avoiding clothing or accessories (like bracelets, necklaces, charms, etc.) made from silicone.
- Real leather should also be avoided. If you have leather furniture, place a towel or something similar for the doll to sit on. Fishnet stockings could cut into her skin if too tight. Indentations may occur if clothes are too snug, but they should fade over time if they haven't cut into the skin. I once left my doll in a lace nightgown overnight and noticed lace imprints on her back in the morning. After placing her on her side for a few hours, it returned to normal. It's advisable to use a barrier between materials that might be harsh on her skin.
- Stick to lighter colors like white, pink, and light blue. You can dress her in dark colors but avoid leaving them on for extended periods to prevent staining. It's recommended to soak new light and dark clothes in hot water for 10 minutes; you'll notice the water changing color due to excess dye. Repeat this process until the water runs clear, which may take a few attempts.
- Avoid wool as it can be scratchy and cause small abrasions on the TPE surface.
How to remove heavy powder residue from silicone dolls?
- After allowing my silicone doll to dry, I use Lysol wipes to clean off any excess powder. I apply a thorough dusting afterwards, and she's ready. I've been following this routine for 4 years without any issues. I do a full body cleaning every 2 or 3 months, and spot clean as needed.
- A sponge and warm water are usually sufficient. You can add a little soap to the water and clean her comfortably on a bed if you place her on towels.
